Paola Campos picked us for our sustainability, not the other way round. Chardonnay on sand and shale.
Meridiem Wines specialises in sustainable grape growing. The owners Paola Campos and Maxime Pellier found each other in their ambition to make pure, sustainable wines and to make the beautiful terroir of the Cévennes wine region better known. They work with winemaker Leo Guillaumou. Paola and Maxime selected the Les Héméris vineyard to make a top-level Chardonnay. The soil consists of sand and shale, which provides good drainage. The plots contain vines planted between 1984 and 2004.
The wines are certified Haute Valeur Environnementale, but the estate does a great deal more than that. A nice detail: Paola Campos selected Clavis Wijnimport on the strength of our sustainability ambitions. We are proud of that!
