Domaine Frey Sohler
In Scherwiller since 1790, now the seventh generation. Riesling on granite, without chemical sprays.

The Sohler family has been a winemaking family for generations, settled in the village of Scherwiller since 1790. Today the domaine is in the hands of brothers Damien (manager) and Nicolas (winemaker). Daughters Baptiste, who looks after the work in the vineyards, and Aude (sales) form the seventh generation of this dedicated winemaking family.
Frey Sohler has been certified for sustainability (Terra Vitis) and for HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale) since the 2017 vintage. In doing so they contribute to the environment by preserving insect life in the vineyards. The estate uses no chemical pesticides to prevent fungal disease. The vineyards, covering 32 ha, contain sand and stone (for a fruity character) and granite (for minerality, concentration and good ageing potential).
