Les Vignobles Foncalieu
A cooperative of families, certified Terra Vitis and HVE.
Les Vignobles Foncalieu, from Languedoc and Roussillon, is the oldest cooperative in France, founded on 23 December 1901. They make authentic wines from the grapes traditionally grown on the various vineyard soils. Foncalieu is built on the craftsmanship of its winemakers and on innovation within the regional research centres. This combination produces quality wines that are highly valued in many countries.
The cooperative is a partnership of small growers from Languedoc, Gascony and the Rhône who are dedicated to producing top-quality grapes. The vinification is the work of the winemakers of Les Vignobles Foncalieu.
We made a deliberate choice for the wines made from Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Syrah and Merlot. A tasting panel rated these wines more highly than competing wines from the Languedoc. We are proud that these wines are part of our range.
The wines are certified Terra Vitis, helping to improve biodiversity. The estate also pays close attention to combating global warming, including through natural fertilisation, the reuse of natural materials such as composting, and recyclable dry goods (bottles, screw caps, labels). They also work in line with the requirements that the PPWR sets for wine producers.
